My name is Amber Capron. I work with Charlottesville-area nonprofits on an interim or consulting basis, or simply when you need an extra set of hands.
I’ve served local, statewide and national nonprofits at every level, from volunteer to executive director. I’ve been a campaign manager and finance director for political campaigns. I’ve orchestrated black-tie dinners honoring governors and senators and planned membership meetings for hundreds of industry stakeholders. I’ve created gardens, taught children, trained dogs, and herded cats.
As a lifelong resident of Albemarle County and a graduate of the University of Virginia, I am dedicated to making a difference in our community.
What I Do
It’s easy for nonprofit organizations to get stuck. Often, they get bogged down with too much work and not enough time or money. There are simple solutions that can lead to greater effectiveness, but who has time to implement them?
That’s where I can help. I can help your office maximize your resources through better organization. I can implement systems to increase efficiency. I can help you find the funding you need. I can help you get your message out to donors, foundations, businesses, and media. I can help you recruit and manage volunteers. Whether it’s coordinating an event, creating a new development plan, getting a new program off the ground, applying for a grant or something as simple as writing a solicitation letter, I’m game.
